The Artery has teamed up with Halo Gaia Wild Dolphin Swims to serve up a potent mix of creative transformation, pleasure and play.
Awakenings is a call to wake your inner artist, your potential, your dreams, your inner knowing & your ability to connect to your pleasure body. You are invited to join us for 4 days of creative immersion in the idyllic Ponta Malongane for a wonderful winter escape . A journey of:

- connecting to your joy and nourishing your soul
We will be using art therapy techniques, writing, meditation and dance to shift negative patterns, freeing us and creating space for us to craft our futures to be closer in alignment with our soul desires. Allow yourself the time and space to tune in to what your soul is saying. We are creating our lives with every decision we make… Drawing on our exquisite surroundings for inspiration, the symbolism of the dolphin is perfect for our work.
We will work deeply with all of these to create an unforgettable journey.
Absolutely no artistic or dancing skills are required as each invitation is process and is not results driven. We create a safe space for you to explore new creative possibilities as a beginner, with curiosity and playfulness. Gift yourself with the possibility to unwind, redirect, create and connect.
Verity Maud
Verity is an artist, interior designer, Biodanza facilitator and plays an active role in Afrikaburn- an arts festival in the Karoo- as a contributing large scale installation artist, performance artist and costumer. Passionate about connecting people to their creative potential, she has been running The Artery workshops in South Africa in both the corporate and private sector for the past ten years and incorporates the transformational training that she has done globally into her method. She has traveled extensively and done training in places such as The Esalen institute in California. Verity is deeply influenced by various conscious dance modalities she has encountered on her travels, having experienced the incredibly transformative power of movement to shift and inspire. She has also collaborated on workshops in Brazil & Portugal.
Courtney Ward
Essentially a performer in the great arts of the divine’, Courtney is a talented artist, actor and musician. She is especially gifted in her spontaneous ability to apply her artistic gifts and musical talents to a group dynamic in aid of personal transformation and creativity. Since 1999 Courtney has worked passionately and intensively with the resident pod of Inshore Bottle Nose dolphins of Southern Mozambique as Halo Gaia’s owner, Ponta Malongane`s Ocean Safari guide, leading Dolphin Swim Facilitator and data collector. Through her intimate relations with the dolphins, her love of people and her love of the ocean, Courtney offers an extraordinary Ocean Awareness program.
Rustic Safari Tented Camp
The Rustic Tented Camp forms part of a much bigger resort, however, it is privately tucked away in the far corner of the resort and consists of 14 two-bed units. All tents are built on wooden decking with two single beds and linen, nestled in the forest canopy with hundreds of birds, butterflies, bush babies and monkeys. Clean ablution facilities are situated within the tented camp, for the exclusive use of the tented camp guests only. The resort lies right on the beach so that you can be gently lulled to sleep by the ocean surf. Full self-catering facilities are available as part of the resort’s dive centre with staff members who are happy to assist with cleaning up after meals.

I wish I had the words to explain the journey I had last week sharing in this retreat. It was exquisitely transformative and utterly life changing. What a blessing it is to meet up with such wonderful human angels that inspire and uplift us with such positive vibrations and warm feelings. It was such a privilege to be a part of all that feminine energy and the dolphins and whales were a bonus.
