DOLPHIN ANGEL - Courtney Ward.

I believe it was blessed by destiny to have found my space in the Halo Gaia family and to have met these dolphins.

After extensive travel, Ethnic music exploration, community living projects and completing my studies of Complementary health at the Institute of Natural Health, I have happily been a part of Halo Gaia since its conception in the year 2000. I was ready to apply what I had learnt in the growing and inspiring environment of the Halo Gaia Journeys.

Through these retreats I realized my deep love for people and the transformation and healing available to us when we gather in nature with an intention of love and community.

I have a deep passion for the earth; the music created by different cultures of this beautiful planet intrigues me. I have collected many Indigenous musical instruments and explored how to play them and use them in a way that could bring delight and peace to people. 
This was the beginning of what today has grown into the wonderful modality of a Sound Journey, a tool for meditation and healing. It is through the Sound Journey that I was first invited by Nelia to meet the dolphins. It fitted so perfectly, the masters of sound were to be my greatest teachers. The Sound Journey complemented the holistic retreats so well that along with drumming they became an integrated package.

The beauty and simplicity of Mozambique captured my heart … The wind in my hair as we take our boat through the waves and the elated freedom found in my spirit on each journey, affirmed my life purpose. The first eye contact with a dolphin was more than I could ever have imagined it to be. I had found my hearts truest calling. I was committed to making Halo Gaia and the dolphins a big part of my life.

For 10 years I have been blessed to have intimately got to know and worked with the large pod of resident Bottle Nose Dolphins that swim the Southern Mozambique coastline. Being witness to the many life-changing experiences people made both in the water and on shore during our Dolphin Assisted therapy retreats, has been a true blessing. Along with the self-study of many books and writings, my photography and the personal experiences made, I am in awe of the relationship dolphins share with humans…Indeed an alive and ancient connection!

In the year 2009 I took a big step and took ownership of this blessed and magical company, Halo Gaia.

Now sitting in the drivers seat a profound sense of purpose moulds the dream of a place where all folk can adventure HOME to in trust and love.

The inspiration people find to live their lives in a joyous and fulfilling way is the greatest motivation to continue my research and play in this field.

Halo Gaia legally operates all Dolphin Scenic Tours under the "Transporte Maritimo Commercial de Trafego local de Passageiros" license issued to Malongane for commercial dolphin launches in Southern Mozambique
